Hello, my name is Derrick. My favourite animal is the cat. I like playing soccer with my friends. I like to eat Irish potatoes and meat. At school I like to colour pictures and blue is my best colour. When I grow up, I want to become a teacher.
History
Derrick lives with his single mother and sister Edith. They live in a single roomed house in Kasubi. Derrick’s mother works as a waitress in a local restaurant but earns a very low income. She struggles to meet the family’s basic needs and cannot afford school fees. Your support through child sponsorship will change Derrick’s life and help his family.
Derrick like so many children in Uganda, lives in extreme poverty. Your monthly contribution will enable Derrick to attend school, be fitted with a uniform, supplied with textbooks and have his exam fees covered. He will also receive a healthy school lunch each day and if required he will receive medical care. More importantly, Derrick will receive an education which gives him hope for a brighter future.
