Hello, my name is Doreen. My favourite animal is the dog. My favourite game is playing with dolls. I like to eat Irish potatoes and meat. At school I like to draw and colour pictures. When I grow up, I want to become a nurse.
History
Doreen lives with her mother, who has a mental health illness, and her grandmother. They live in a single room house in Kasubi. Doreen’s mother is able to work intermittently as a cleaner but with an unstable income finds it difficult to me the basic needs of her family. Your support through child sponsorship will change Doreen’s life and help her family.
Doreen like so many children in Uganda, lives in extreme poverty. Your monthly contribution will enable Doreen to attend school, be fitted with a uniform, supplied with textbooks and have her exam fees covered. She will eat a healthy school lunch each day and if required she will receive medical care. More importantly, Doreen will receive an education which gives her hope for a brighter future.
