Hello, my name is Mariam. At school I like to colour pictures and my favourite colour is white. I enjoy playing with dolls and I like to eat sweet bananas and groundnuts. When I grow up I want to be a nurse.
History
Mariam lives with her mother and sister, Jane. They live in a one roomed house in Kasubi. Her mother sells green bananas in the local market but earns a very low income. She struggles to provide the basic needs for her family and cannot afford school fees. Your support through child sponsorship will change Mariam’s life and help her family.
Mariam like so many children in Uganda, lives in extreme poverty. Your monthly contribution will enable Mariam to attend school, be fitted with a uniform, supplied with textbooks and have her exam fees covered. She will eat a healthy school lunch each day and if required she will receive medical care. More importantly, Mariam will receive an education which gives her hope for a brighter future.
