Hello, my name is Shafigah. I like to play netball with my friends. I like learning about numbers and letters. I like to write. My favorite food is rice and beans. When I grow up I would like to be a teacher so I help children learn.
History:
Shafigah is a vulnerable child living with her single mother and siblings. They live in a small one room house in Kasubi. Shafigah’s mother cooks Cassava chips at a roadside stall to earn an income. She does not earn enough to provide the basic needs for her family and cannot afford school fees.
Your support will change Shafigah’s life and help her family. Shafigah, like so many children in Uganda, lives in extreme poverty. Your monthly contribution will enable Shafigah to attend school, be fitted with a uniform, supplied with text books and have her exam fees covered. She will also receive a healthy school lunch each day. Your monthly sponsorship also ensures that if required, Shafigah will receive medical care. More importantly, Shafigah will receive an education which gives her hope for a brighter future.
