History
John Elia is a vulnerable child living with his single mother, grandmother and five cousins: Sarah, Happy, Firidawusi, Scovia and Emma. They live in a single roomed house. His mother works as a house maid for a low wage, which is not enough to cover the basic needs of the family in her care. Your support through the sponsorship program will help change John Elia’s life and help his entire family. John Elia, like so many children in Uganda, lives in extreme poverty. Your monthly contribution will enable John Elia to attend school, be fitted with a uniform, supplied with text books and have his exam fees covered. He will also receive a healthy school lunch every day. Your monthly sponsorship also ensures that if required, John Elia will receive medical care. More importantly, John Elia will receive an education which gives him hope for a brighter future.
