Hello, my name is Kato. My favourite colour is green and my favourite animal is a cow. I love matching objects in class and my favourite game is soccer. I like to eat chips and chicken and when I grow up, I would like to become a teacher so I can help children to learn.
History
Kato is a vulnerable child living with his parents and 4 siblings: Fakiri, Falucawo, Babirye (his twin) and Fahiya. They live in a single roomed house. Her mother sells vegetables in the market and her father is unskilled and has no stable work. As a result, they struggle to meet the basic needs of their family. Your support through child sponsorship will help change Kato’s life and his entire family.
Kato, like so many children in Uganda, lives in extreme poverty. Your monthly contribution will enable Kato to attend school, be fitted with a uniform, supplied with text books and have his exam fees covered. He will also receive a healthy school lunch each day. Your monthly sponsorship also ensures that if required, Kato will receive medical care. More importantly, Kato will receive an education which gives him hope for a brighter future.
