Hello, my name is Sylvia. My favourite colour is orange and my favourite animal is a cow. I love playing with dolls and colouring pictures. I like to eat matooke (green banana) and meat. When I grow up, I would like to become a nurse so I can help sick people.
History:
Sylvia is a vulnerable child living with her widowed mother and three siblings: Angel, Vivian and Enock. They live in a single roomed house. Her mum does laundry to earn an income but it is not stable work. She struggles to provide the basic needs for her children. Your support through child sponsorship will change Sylvia’s life and help the entire family.
Sylvia, like so many children in Uganda, lives in extreme poverty. Your monthly contribution will enable Sylvia to attend school, be fitted with a uniform, supplied with text books and have her exam fees covered. She will also receive a healthy school lunch each day. Your monthly sponsorship also ensures that if required, Sylvia will receive medical care. More importantly, Sylvia will receive an education which gives her hope for a brighter future.
